한국대중음악학회는?
한국대중음악학회 (KASPM: The Korean Association for the Study of Popular Music)은 한국의 대중음악의 전문적 연구와 학문적 교류를 목적으로, 연구와 평론에 종사하는 대중음악 관계자들이 2005년 6월 22일 결성한 전문연구단체입니다.

한국대중음악학회는 정기학술대회 개최, 학술지 발행 등의 활동을 통해 대중음악 연구자, 학생, 평론가들이 교류할 수 있는 네트워크를 지속적으로 마련할 것입니다. 학회에서는 매년 2회의 정기학술대회를 개최하고 있으며 2008년부터 연2회 학술지 『대중음악』을 발행하고 있습니다.
한국대중음악학회는 국제대중음악학회 (The International Association for the Study of Popular Music; IASPM)의 지부로서의 역할도 겸하고 있습니다.
INTRODUCTION
KASPM, representing the Korean Association for the Study of Popular Music, was established on June 22, 2005, with the purpose of encouraging professional and academic exchanges among those engaged in the researches and critiques of popular music in Korea.
KASPM has continued to provide the space of networking among researchers, students and critics of popular music through the academic conference and the academic journal. The biannual conference is held regularly on the first Saturdays of June and December and the biannual journal named Popular Music is published every June and December.
KASPM is open to researchers, students and critics of serious popular music studies. Please email to kaspmnet@gmail.com if you want to join.
KASPM also takes the role as the Korean branch of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM). If you are a KASPM member and also wishes to join IASPM, please contact the international membership manager (groovewon.lee@gmail.com).
